Eligibility
To become a Lip Sync Canada School Representative, you must be at least 14 years of age. Eligible candidates include teachers, principals, educational assistants, other school employees, volunteers, or students at a high school in the National Capital Region (Ottawa-Gatineau area).
We are seeking 2 school representatives per high school. For home schools, 2 representatives are required in Ontario and 2 representatives in Quebec.
Review the Requirements
Each representative will assist in organizing and promoting the Lip Sync Competitions at your school.
Representatives will help with ticket sales, registration promotion, and ensuring participants are informed about the competition details.
You will also be responsible for helping to organize a venue for the performances (such as a school auditorium). Lip Sync Canada will cover the cost of the venue rental.
If rehearsals are needed, the representative may assist in organizing a venue for those as well.
Sign Up by Submitting a Form
Visit the Lip Sync Canada website (lipsynccanada.ca) and locate the School Representative Registration form, which is located above the instructions section.
Complete the form with all necessary details, including your name, contact information, role (teacher, principal, educational assistant, volunteer, student), and the name of your school.
Understand the Compensation
School representatives will receive 5% of the profits (minus expenses) from ticket sales for the competition held at their individual school.
Compensation is based on the number of tickets sold for your specific school’s event.
Tickets for your school will be sold for $26.00 each
As a School Representative you do not need to purchase a ticket
Coordinate with Other Representatives
If your school has 2 representatives, you will need to collaborate with the second representative to ensure effective promotion and organization of the event.
Work together to make sure the event runs smoothly and that students and staff are aware of how to participate.
Promote the Event and Sell Tickets
All ticket sales will be conducted online via the Lip Sync Canada website (lipsynccanada.ca) for your specific school. The website will track all ticket sales made for your school.
You will be provided with promotional QR codes and potentially other promotional materials (such as posters) to help encourage ticket sales.
Share the QR code and other promotional materials through social media, school newsletters, or other communication channels within your school community.
Organize the Venue for Performances
As a school representative, you will need to help organize a venue (such as a school auditorium) for the live performances.
Lip Sync Canada will cover the cost of the venue rental, but you will be involved in reserving the location and ensuring it’s available for the event.
Assist with the Registration Promotion
Help promote online registration for competitors and volunteers on the Lip Sync Canada website.
A QR code will be provided for you to distribute, and the registration will be for individual competitors, group competitors, and volunteers at your school.
Be Prepared for Multiple Competitions
Depending on the number of online registrations for individual or group competitors at your school, there may be a need for multiple Lip Sync Canada competitions to accommodate all participants.
As a school representative, you should be prepared to assist with the organization and logistics of more than one event if necessary.
Provide Event Support
On the day of the event, you will be expected to assist with event-day logistics, such as check-in, helping participants, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
You may also have the opportunity to serve as the Master of Ceremony (MC) for the event, or you may need to find someone from the volunteer list at your school to act as the MC.
If available, a DJ could potentially serve as the MC.
Submit the Registration Form Early
The School Representative Registration form is now open on the website. Submit your form as soon as possible to secure your spot.
Be sure to include all required details, and note that the form will close once all representative spots are filled.
After submitting your form, you will receive a confirmation email with further details, but please be patient as this process is not automatic and may take some time. Do not panic if you do not receive an immediate response.
Stay in Communication
Once your form is submitted, you will be contacted by Lip Sync Canada with further instructions, including event dates, deadlines, and any additional information regarding the competition.
Regular communication will ensure that both you and your school are fully prepared.

The School Representative form for Lip Sync Canada is now closed and is no longer available. We were seeking two school representatives, but all submissions have either been completed or we are not currently at your school due to the conclusion of the school season or because we are in another Canadian city or town. We appreciate your interest and thank you for your effort in trying to participate. Unfortunately, this round has come to an end, but we encourage you to stay tuned for future opportunities. Perhaps next time, you will have the chance to be involved!
If registration is still open, there are several opportunities for participation. You can choose to register as a volunteer, contributing your time and skills to support various aspects of the event. Alternatively, individuals looking to showcase their talents can sign up as individual competitors, competing for recognition and accolades. For those who prefer a more collaborative approach, forming a team allows participants to register as group competitors, where they can work together to achieve a common goal. Whether you are interested in volunteering or competing, there are paths available for everyone to be part of this exciting experience.
